Low ovarian reserve & later motherhood
Nineteen years of waiting, and a first cycle that worked
For nineteen years — from the day she married — she had waited. On paper the odds were stacked several ways at once: a low ovarian reserve, significant obesity to manage, and a difficult semen analysis for her husband. Any one of them was a hurdle; together they had defeated years of trying.
Rather than treat one problem and hope, the clinic addressed the whole situation together, and prepared carefully for a single, well-timed IVF cycle.
It worked the first time. She gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, and the family named her Ward — “blossom”. Nineteen years, and then a first flower.
A daughter, Ward
